Man, 61, dies in crash involving two parked cars in Glasgow's east end

A man has died after following a road crash in the east end of Glasgow this morning.

Police were called to Abbeyhill Street in the Carntyne area around 9:40am in respect of the incident, which involved three vehicles - a car driven by the man and two parked vehicles.

Tragically, the 61-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police confirm that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that a man has died following a road crash on Abbeyhill Street in the Carntyne area of Glasgow."

"The incident was reported to police around 9.40am on Thursday, 27 August, 2020.

"The incident involved three vehicles - a car driven by the 61-year-old man and two parked vehicles.


"He was pronounced dead at the scene. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
