Man, 60s, in critical condition after assault in Limerick city

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 60s was left seriously injured in an assault Friday morning.

The incident occurred at Bishop’s Quay in Limerick city at approximately 11.45am.

The victim was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where his condition is described as critical.

No arrests have been made, but investigations are ongoing.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Bishop's Quay and Dock Road area and who may have witnessed this incident, to come forward to them.”
