Man, 60s, dies following road crash in Meath

A man in his 60s has died after his car collided with a wall.

Gardaí in Nobber are investigating the single-vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred this evening.

The incident took place in the townland of Mandistown, Drumconrath, Navan at approximately 6.40p.m.

The man in his late 60s was the driver of the car and the sole occupant too.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been removed from the scene to the mortuary in Our Lady's Hospital, Navan where a post mortem will take place in due course.

The road remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are at scene.

Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.

Any road users who were travelling in the townland of Mandistown this evening that may have camera footage (including dashcam) are being asked to make it available to Gardaí.
