Man, 60, dies after being found in a critical condition in Lanarkshire town

A man has died after he was found in a critical condition following a serious incident in Coatbridge.

Peter Morgan, 60, tragically passed away after being rushed to Monklands Hospital on November 19.

Emergency services had earlier raced to Sikeside Street at 12.25am after being called to the scene in the town.

Two men, aged 24 and 55, were charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court court three days after it occurred.

A Police Scotland spokesperson previously said: "Around 12.25am on Friday, November 19, police were called to an address is Sikeside Street, Coatbridge, where a 60-year-old man was found seriously injured.

Police officers were at the scene on Sikeside Steet for a while following the incident (Internet unknown)

"Two men, aged 24 and 55-years-old, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, November 22."
