A man is fighting for his life after being found injured in an Ayrshire street.
A 56-year-old man was discovered in Glenalla Road, Maybole around 4.15pm on Wednesday, May 12.
The man is in a critical condition in Ayr hospital after being taken there for treatment.
Cops last week launched a probe into the circumstances surrounding the injured man.
Ayrshire Live can reveal that officers attended an address in Ayr in connection with the Maybole incident.
A police presence was spotted outside an address in Church Court on Thursday and Friday as enquiries continued.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers received a report of a man found injured in Glenalla Road in Maybole around 4.15pm on Wednesday, 12 May.
"He was taken to the Ayr Hospital for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full set of circumstances."
