Man, 56, charged in relation to €390,000 worth of cannabis seized at Drumcondra premises

A 56-year-old man has been charged in relation to the seizure of cannabis with an estimated street value of €390,000 in north Dublin.

Gardai carried out a search on a Drumcondra premises on Wednesday morning as part of an intelligence led operation where the drugs were discovered.

The man was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 and has subsequently been charged in relation to the incident.

He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Court No.4 at 10:30am on Friday morning.

Gardai from the Special Crime Task Force were assisted by the National Drugs Unit, Organised Crime Bureau and the Dublin Metropolitan Region during the operation.
