Man, 56, attacked in Glasgow city centre as pub cordoned off

A city centre pub was cordoned off to the public today after a 56-year-old man was attacked.

Police responded to a late night call of a disturbance in the St. Enoch area of the city.

A 56-year-old man was found at the scene, seriously injured.

The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and treated.

Police say they are still establishing the circumstances of his attack.

Officers were pictured today after having cordoned off a section of Howard Street and the entrance to Dixon Street in the city centre.

Reports say dried blood was pictured leading from the pub to Cafe Nero in St Enoch Square.
