Man, 54, rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Paisley

A man has been left with serious injuries after being struck by a car in Paisley .

The 54-year-old was walking on Inchinnan Road around 9.15pm when he was hit by a grey Fiat Punto.

Emergency services rushed to the Paisley Street and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.

The road remained closed until 6am yesterday morning for police to investigate the incident.

Officers are now appealling for any witnesses to come forward who were on the street at the time on October 25.

Sergeant Nicola Taylor, of Glasgow's Road Policing Unit, said: "Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and at an early stage. 

"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward.

"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage which may help with our enquiries."

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 4171 of 25 October.
