A 54-year-old man was killed in a shooting Sunday in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

Roberto Beltran was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head about 3:55 a.m. in the 2100 block of South Fairfield Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m., officials said. An autopsy Tuesday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

Beltran lived in the neighborhood where he was shot. Police said there were no witnesses to the incident and no arrests have been made.

Another man was wounded in a separate shooting on the same block the previous day.

About 12:54 a.m. July 10, a 30-year-old man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition after being shot in the 2100 block of South Fairfield Avenue, police said, adding that the man would not provide details about the incident.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
