Man, 53, rushed to hospital after being found lying injured in Glasgow street

Police are appealing for information after a man was discovered lying injured in a street in Castlemilk this morning.

Officers raced to the scene on Croftfoot Road after receiving a report of the injured man by a concerned member of the public around 7:20am.

The 53-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Police are continuing enquiries to establish how the man came about his injuries.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 7:20am on Saturday 12 September 2020, police received a report of man lying injured in Croftfoot Road, Castlemilk. 

"Emergency services attended and the 53-year- old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. 

"Officers are continuing enquiries to establish how the man came about his injuries."
