Police name man found dead at home in Sefton Park

Police are appealing for help to trace the relatives of a man found dead at a house in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police confirmed a body was found at a home in the Sefton Park area last Friday.

The man was today named as 53-year-old Gary Costello.

He was found dead on Friday, August 13 at his home on Linnet Lane.

Police are not treating Mr Costello's death as suspicious but have shared an appeal to trace his relatives.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "Please share and help Liverpool and Wirral Coroner's Office find the next of kin for Liverpool man Gary Costello, who recently passed away.

"Anyone with information should contact Elaine Jordan on 0151 351 0036 or via email on Elaine.Jordan@liverpool.gov.uk."
