Man, 52, found dead as police appeal to find his family

A man has been found dead in St Helens.

Merseyside Police confirmed the 52-year-old was found in the town at the end of last month and said a bid to trace his relatives was now underway.

The deceased was named as David Hesketh.

He died on Tuesday, June 29.

Police say efforts to trace Mr Hesketh's family have so far proved unsuccessful.

It is believed he may have been from Ormskirk.

Foul play has been ruled out.

A Merseyside Police spoksperson said: "Please share and help the Coroner's Office find the next of kin of a man who recently passed away in St Helens.

"David Hesketh sadly died on Tuesday 29 June. He was 52. There are no suspicious circumstances.

"Mr Hesketh may have originally come from Ormskirk in Lancashire."
