A man in his 50s has been injured after he was allegedly assaulted on a busy city centre street.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on Fleet Street in Temple Bar at around 7:25pm on Sunday, August 18.
The man received a number of injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
A garda spokesman said they were investigating the incident.
He said: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, in particular two members of the public who are believed to have come to the aid of the injured male, to contact Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 666 9000 or The Garda confidential line on 18000 666 111."
