A man in his 50s remains in serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car while on foot in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The pedestrian was walking in the Castle Street area of Bray when he was struck by a vehicle at 12:30am.
The injured man was taken to St. Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin with serious injuries.
One eye-witness told Dublin Live: "I passed by the scene shortly after it happened.
"Paramedics were there and were looking after a person who was face down on the actual road."
A spokesman for the gardai told Dublin Live that they are "investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred at Castle St, Bray at 00:30hrs this morning, Saturday 28 September 2019".
