A man in his 50s has died following a horror crash involving a multiple vehicles in Co Wicklow.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the collision between a van and two cars in the Lower Main Street area of Rathdrum at 1 pm yesterday.
A woman, aged in her early 80s, was rushed to hospital but fortunately her injuries were non-life threatening.
The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. His remains were moved to mortuary in Loughlinstown.
A garda spokesman said: "An examination of the scene has been carried out by Garda forensic collision investigators and the road has re-opened.
"Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly any road users with dash cam footage, to contact them at Wicklow Garda Station on 0404 60140 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111."
