Man, 49, killed in St. Charles motorcycle crash

Authorities responded to reports of a motorcycle crash at 5:44 p.m. in the 2500 block of East main Street, June 8, 2019, in St. Charles.

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday after he crashed into a car in west suburban St. Charles.

About 5:44 p.m., Gustavo Sanchez Pineda, 49, was westbound on a 2002 Suzuki in the 2500 block of East Main Street when he collided with a car that was stopped in the center median trying to make a left turn, St. Charles police said.

Pineda was ejected from his motorcycle, which veered across lanes and struck another vehicle, police said.

He was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva where he later died from his injuries, police said. He lived in St. Charles.
