A man was wounded by gunfire while walking Sunday morning in the South Shore neighborhood on the Far South Side.
At 2:51 a.m., the 49-year-old was shot in the 1700 block of East 78th Street, according to Chicago police. A bullet struck his left arm.
He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said. The circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately known.
