Man, 49, hospitalised following assault within block of flats in Dalmuir

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a man taken to hospital following assault within a block of flats in Dalmuir.

The incident occurred earlier this morning, with officers called to reports of a 49-year-old man having been the victim of the assault around 9:50am on Scott Street.

The man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

Police confirm that enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 9.50am on Friday, 6 August, 2020, officers were called to a report of a 49 year-old man assaulted within a block of flats on Scott Street, Dalmuir. 

"He was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.  Enquiries are continuing and any witnesses, or anyone with information should contact Clydebank Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 1005 of 7th August."
