Man, 47, dies suddenly in Kilmarnock as death treated as 'unexplained'

A man has died suddenly in a Kilmarnock flat at the weekend, police have confirmed today.

The 47-year-old's death is being treated as "unexplained" by officers but they say it was "non-suspicious".

Cops were on the scene at Beansburn on Saturday morning until later in the afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of the sudden death of a 47-year-old man within a property at Beansburn in Kilmarnock shortly after 11.15am on Saturday, August 28.

“The death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
