Man, 47, dies in Belconnen motorbike collision

A 47-year-old man has died following a single vehicle collision in Belconnen this evening.

Emergency services were called to an incident involving a motorbike on Hennessy Street about 5.15pm.

Members of the public and ACT Ambulance Service paramedics assisted the man before he was transported to hospital, where he died a short time later.

The man is the second person to die on ACT roads in 2021.

ACT Policing's Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
