Man, 44, charged with attempted murder after officers link him to three stabbings in London

A 44-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after being allegedly linked to three stabbings in north London.

Evans Innocent, of no fixed abode, faces the attempted murder charge relating to an incident in Caledonian Road on April 21.

He has also been charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm linked to other incidents in April.

As well as this he faces six counts of possession of a weapon in public, three of theft in a dwelling and one of failure to comply with notification requirements of the Sex Offenders Register.

At around 6.15am on April 21 a woman in her 40s was stabbed in Caledonian Road. She was taken to hospital and subsequently discharged.

Innocent was arrested in Caledonian Road on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He was arrested on suspicion of further incidents while in custody.

He will appear in Highbury Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
