Man, 43, dies of head injuries in South London as 41-year-old charged with murder

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in South London.

Police were contacted by staff at a London hospital at around 12.30am on Wednesday, June 10, after a man was admitted with serious head injuries.

Investigators established that the 43-year-old man was attacked inside a home on Cadbury Way, in Bermondsey, South London.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, the victim sadly died in hospital later that night.

Police have since named him as Terry Wilding and added that his family is being supported by specialist officers.

On Thursday, June 11, officers arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

Jay Hewetson, 41 of Abbey Street, Southwark, was charged yesterday, Friday, June 12, with murder and was remanded to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court the following day.
