Man, 43, charged and named after car crashed into tree

A man has been charged with drink driving after a car crashed into a street sign and a tree.

Officers arrested the 43-year-old on Glencoyne Drive in Southport at around 6.50pm yesterday (Thursday).

A post on Sefton Police's Facebook page reads: "A 43 year old Southport man was arrested and charged with drink driving yesterday evening (Thursday 29th April), following the car he was driving colliding with a street sign and a tree on Glencoyne Drive in Southport."

Dwane Bragg of Bath Street was charged with drink driving and obstructing police

He will appear on Wednesday, June 2 at Sefton Magistrates Court
