Man ,42, seriously assaulted with weapon in late-night attack in Paisley

A man was left with seriously injuries after being attacked in Paisley in the early hours of this morning.

The 42-year-old was assaulted with a weapon on West Buchanan Place between 1am and 3am on Thursday 10 June.

He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley where he received treatment for his injuries, before being released.

The attacker is described as male, wearing all black clothing.

Officers in Paisley are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Ashley O'Neill from Paisley CID said: "Thankfully the man’s injuries were not life threatening, but this has been a terrifying incident.

“Anyone who was in the area at time of the incident or who has any knowledge of the assault can contact us via 101 quoting reference number 0366 of the 10th of June 2021. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
