Man, 42, arrested in connection with string of Glasgow robberies

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a string of robberies that took place across Glasgow last month.

The robberies took place at Greggs on Dumbarton Road, a shop on St Vincent Street and the Royal Bank of Scotland on Kilmarnock Road and a One-o-One store in Aikenhead Road.

The 42-year-old has also been arrested and charged in connection with an assault with intent to rob on Millbrae Road in Battlefield and a robbery at a shop on Alexandra Parade.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.

A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.
