A 41-year-old man is due to appear in court in Co Galway charged in relation to a huge heroin seizure worth €140,000.
Gardai discovered the drugs during a search of a car in Loughrea at 11.25pm on Friday, January 3.
The seizure was made by officers attached to the Galway Divisional Drug Unit.
The man was arrested at the scene and was questioned at Galway Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.
He was later released but rearrested again yesterday, Monday January, 13, and charged in relation to the seizure.
He is due to appear before Tuam District Court this morning Tuesday, January 14, at 10.30am.
