A man has tragically died following a crash between two cars in Co Limerick.
The incident occurred at around 7:30pm on Wednesday night, on the N21 near the village of Croagh.
A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene after two cars collided.
His body was removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem is due to be carried out.
Another man, whose age is yet to be confirmed was also taken to University Hospital Limerick with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Forensic Collisions Investigators are currently at the scene.
The road is currently closed with local diversions are in place.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have information, particularly any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling through the area between 7.30pm and 8pm, to contact Newcastle West Garda Station on 069 20650 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111."
