A man has been killed after his car crashed into a wall in North County Dublin.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene of the single car collision on the Skerries Road in Milverton in North County Dublin just after 12pm on Sunday afternoon.
The driver, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
The road was temporarily closed this afternoon as forensic investigators carried out an examination of the scene, but has since reopened.
Gardai have issued an appeal to any drivers who may have been on the road at the time to come forward if they have any dash-cam footage that could help assist their investigation.
They ssaid: "Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them. Gardaí are also appealing to anyone who was driving on the Skerries to Lusk (R127) road between 11.45am and 12.15pm who may have camera (dash-cam) footage to make it available.
"Anyone with any information in relation to this collision should contact Balbriggan Garda Station on 01 802 0510, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station."
