Man, 40s, dies after being hit by car in Laragh, Co Wicklow

A man in his 40s was killed when he was hit by a car in the early hours of this morning.

The pedestrian was fatally injured in the crash on the R755 in Laragh, Co Wicklow at around 2am on Sunday, April 7.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, was not injured in the collision.

A garda spokesperson said: "The road at the scene remains closed to facilitate an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision investigators."
