Willesden stabbing: Man, 40, knifed to death in north-west London high street

A murder investigation has been launched tonight following a fatal stabbing in north-west London.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service to reports of a 40-year-old man suffering from knife wounds on High Road, Willesden at 5.11pm on Thursday.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

Detectives haven’t formally identified him and are in the process of informing his next of kin.

There have been no arrests. A large police cordon remains around the crime scene.

Scotland Yard said the public can expect to see an increased police presence in the area. Enquiries are ongoing.
