Man, 40, charged with attempted break in at Merchant City business

Police have arrested and charged a man with attempted housebreaking at one of Glasgow's most prestigious streets.

Ingram Street at the heart of Merchant City is known for its designer shops and up-market businesses, hair salons and restaurants.

The 40-year-old attempted to break into a commercial property there.

He was charged on February 25.

A Police spokesman for Greater Glasgow Police said: "A 40-year-old male has been arrested and charged with Attempted Housebreaking at a commercial premises at Ingram Street, Glasgow on 25th February 2021."
