A 39-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Emma Faulds.
Ross Willox was also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice when he appeared in private at Ayr Sheriff Court earlier today.
Willox, of Monkton, South Ayrshire made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody to appear again within eight days.
Kilmarnock woman Emma, 39, was last seen on Sunday, April 28 but her body has yet to be found.
She was last seen in the Monkton area around 9.10pm, prompting a police appeal to trace her.
