A man has been given a fine for not wearing a face covering while shopping in a supermarket.
The 39-year-old was issued with a fine from Merseyside Police after he was found in the NISA convince store in Stockbridge Village without a face mask.
Knowsley Police officers said concerns were raised to them by members of the community across the borough about people not following coronavirus rules.
As a result, they monitored the area and found locals who were not swearing face coverings.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "Officers are continuing to monitor compliance with current Covid restrictions and provide reassurance to the community in Knowsley.
"Officers attended a number of locations and supermarkets across the borough yesterday following concerns raised by members of the community regards to covid compliance.
"One such location, the NISA convenience store (Parry's) in Stockbridge Village was visited, where a 39 year old male was identified in the supermarket without a face covering. He was issued with a fine.
"We urge members of the community to follow coronavirus guidelines to keep not only themselves safe, but the safety of all those around them.
"Thank you to everyone who is adhering."
