Man, 39, attacked by two men in Shawlands church car park

Police in Glasgow are appealing for information after a man was attacked by two men in the car park of a church in Shawlands.

The incident happened shortly before 7.45pm on Wednesday (November 18) outside Greenview Church on Pollokshaws Road.

A 39-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries which required hospital treatment after being attacked by two unidentified men.

The men both wore dark clothing and subsequently left the area in a silver car.

Detective Sergeant Alan Ferguson of Cathcart CID said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have information to come forward.

"We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard any disturbance in the area around that time. If you live locally or were driving in the area around that time then we would urge you to review any private CCTV or dashcam footage you may have and pass anything of note on to us."

Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 3039 of 18 November, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
