A man has been ordered to pay two police officers after attacking them.
Scott Hignett, of Chindit Close, assaulted two officers in Formby in September last year. The 37-year-old was also charged with motoring offences.
After being found guilty of both offences, a court heard that Hignett must pay £50 to each emergency worker he assaulted and a £714 fine from the court. He was also handed a 18 months community order, 10 day in rehab and 80 hours unpaid work.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police posted to Facebook: "North Sefton Community Team welcome the sentencing of Scott Hignett, 37, of Chindit Close, Formby after an incident in Formby in September 2022 whereby he assaulted two of our officers.
"Hignett was found guilty of assaulting an emergency worker twice and motoring offences. Hignett was sentenced at Liverpool Magistrates Court to 18 months community order, 10 rehab days, 80 hours unpaid work, £50 to each officer and £714 fine from the court."
