A couple with a 35-year age gap have spoken of the divide it has caused within the family.
Britnye who is 22 and her 57-year-old partner James took to TikTok to talk about who within their family supports the relationship and who doesn't.
In one video, when Britnye asks what his four daughters think, James says: "Well, two of them are OK. One of them is sitting on the fence and the other one would like to murder you with a pitchfork."
In another, James asks Britnye what her mother thinks.
She says: "Well, she's coming over to live with us for a week so we're going to find out."
Britnye later goes on to add that her mother and sister were fine with the relationship and would be working with them on TikTok content in the coming weeks, reports tyla.com.
Social media users offered their opinions on the relationship, with some saying they understood why two of the daughters weren't supporting the relationship.
One wrote: “Just daughters being protective of their dad, and that’s fine… they will come around,” while another echoed: “Protective daughters.”

Another user meanwhile offered advice to the couple: "I think as long as you be the bigger person and be polite, respect the daughters, it’s their dads choice.”
And one posted: “As long as y'all are happy and love each other it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.”
Some experts believe that a relationship has a greater change of long-term success if the man is ten years older than the woman.
Jake Maddock, who describes himself as Australia's 'tough love dating coach', said this is because men mature later than women.
Maddock told the Daily Mail: "Men and women mature emotionally at different times.
"According to experts, men take about 10 years longer to become emotionally mature than for a woman."

He goes on to say that 10 years is the ideal age gap, but believes that five to 10 years older is also okay. He adds that he's rarely seen successful relationships between women and younger men.
Maddock explained: "An older man is likely to be less commitment phobic and more decisive about where he wants to take the relationship.
"He will also have a more mature viewpoint when it comes to solving problems and relationship issues."
He added: "He will have made his mistakes and is unlikely to repeat them.
"He won't play silly games, he chooses you for better reasons and will appreciate you more," he added.
Other relationship experts have said, however, that couples who are around the same age are more likely to last the distance.
