A man has died after falling on a mountain in Scotland.
Cameron Steel, 35, from Glasgow was walking on Bidean nam Bian in Glencoe on Saturday when police were called to assist at about 3.35pm.
He and his walking partner were on the northern ridges of the mountain known as the Three Sisters route when police attended along with the Glencoe Mountain Rescue team and the HM Coastguard helicopter.
Police said Mr Steel had sustained a fall and died at the scene.
The helicopter team recovered his body from the mountain.
One heartbroken friend said on Facebook: "This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to write.

"Over the weekend my best mate Cameron Steel had an accident whilst climbing in Glen Coe and he tragically didn't make it.
"I'll miss him more than he would know. RIP brother. See you on the other side xx"
Another wrote: "I am beyond heartbroken. Hug your loved ones so tightly and don't let go."
Police Scotland said in a statement: "We can confirm that a man has died after suffering a fall while walking in Glencoe.
"Police were called around 3.35pm on Saturday, 25 July, to assist two male walkers on the Three Sisters route.
"Members of the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team also attended, along with the HM Coastguard helicopter.
"Sadly, one of them had sustained a fall and died at the scene. His body was recovered by the helicopter team.
"Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
"As with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
