Man, 35, dead and another seriously injured following buggy rollover in East Arnhem Land

A man has died and another has been seriously injured after a buggy crash in a remote part of East Arnhem Land.

Emergency services were notified of the incident – about 100 kilometres south of Gove – just after 11pm last night.

NT Police said a "personal location device" with authorities informed that the two men, aged 34 and 35, had rolled their buggy, with one suffering critical injuries.

CareFlight was sent to assist the pair, however the 34-year-old was declared dead when they arrived.

The 35-year-old was taken to Gove District Hospital for treatment.

St John Ambulance NT's Craig Garraway said the accident happened in a "very remote area".

A crime scene has been declared.
