A man has been arrested after a series of charity boxes were stolen in Ormskirk.
A 34-year-old from Liverpool was taken into custody yesterday (May 25) after a police investigation into the theft of charity boxes in the area. Officers investigating the crime are now trying to locate the owner of one charity box and police are asking anyone with information to come forward Lancs Live reports.
A police spokesperson said: "We have today arrested a 34-year-old man from Liverpool on suspicion of theft. This relates to an investigation into the theft of charity collection boxes in Ormskirk.

"The man remains in custody at this time. As part of our enquiries we are trying to identify the owner of the charity collection box pictured. If this box is missing from your business please email forcecontrolroom@lancashire.police.uk or call 101, quoting log 708 of May 25, 2023."
