A 34-year-old man has been arrested following the assault of two men in Barrowland Park, near the Trongate, last Saturday (September 7).
Police Scotland issued an appeal to trace six suspects yesterday (Thursday) and confirmed one of the victims in the east end incident was a 71-year-old man. The second victim had not yet reported the situation to officers, who urged him to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed today: “A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, September 16.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
