Man, 33, dies after being found seriously injured in Govan flat

A young man has died after a disturbance at a flat in Govan.

The 33-year-old was found injured in a flat on Summertown Path around 12.30am on Monday, August 31.

He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died a short time later.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Enquiries into the death are currently ongoing.

As previously reported by Glasgow Live, the street was cordoned off this morning as forensic officers examined the scene.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 12.30am on Monday, 31 August, police were called to a report of a man injured within a flat on Summertown Path, Govan, Glasgow. 

"The 33 year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died a short time later.

“A 21 year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident.  

“Police enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should contact Helen Street Police Station through 101 quoting reference number 0081 of 31 August.  Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
