A young man has been stabbed to death at a luxury apartment building next to the US embassy in London.
The 32-year-old collapsed in the lobby of DAMAC Tower, part of the Nine Elms development.
Terrified residents said the 50-storey skyscraper at Bondway, Vauxhall, remains “in lockdown”.
The Metropolitan Police, which launched a murder investigation, said officers were called to the address following reports of an altercation at 5.38am on Saturday.
The victim was treated by the emergency services for knife injuries.
Despite the best efforts of medics from London Ambulance Service, he died.
A force spokesman said: “His next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
“A crime scene is in place while police investigate the circumstances.”
Two men, aged 33 and 35, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
GB News reported the landlord told tenants in a note: “The police are presently on the premises, diligently managing the situation.
“We would like to assure you that the building is secure, and there is no cause for concern with your safety.
“As a precautionary measure, the police have requested that the elevators be temporarily unavailable while they conduct their investigation.”

According to its owners, DAMAC Tower “offers the ultimate in branded living experiences with interiors by renowned luxury design house, Versace Home.
“Artistic director, Donatella Versace, has considered every design detail.”
It boasts 8,000 square feet of communal gardens, an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, state-of-the-art gym, cinema room, children’s play area and 24-hour concierge.
Detective Inspector Aytac Necati, leading the investigation, said: “Sadly, a man has lost his life in the most horrendous of circumstances. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

“Detectives are working hard to establish the circumstances of what happened.
“At this time, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
