Man, 32, dies after motorbike hits curb

A man has died following a motorbike crash in Ramsbottom.

The incident happened on Market Place at around 10.40pm on Sunday (October 17).

Police say rider of the bike lost control and collided with a curb.

The 32-year-old was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

However, he sadly later died from his injuries, GMP confirmed.

A spokesman for the force said: “A motorcyclist has died after a single-vehicle crash in Ramsbottom, Bury.

“Officers were called at about 10:40pm on Sunday 17 October 2021 to Market Place where it is believed the rider lost control of his bike and collided with the curb.

“A 32-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the scene and was taken to hospital, where he sadly died.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
