A 31-year-old man has sustained "life-changing injuries" following a car crash near Abergavenny on Wednesday.
The man, who police confirm is from the Pontypool area, is receiving treatment in hospital after the three-vehicle crash at around 5.30pm on the B4269.
The incident took place between Llanellen and Llanfoist, and involved a silver Ford Transit van, a black Fiat Punto and a grey Jaguar X-type.
The 31-year-old sustained injuries to his lower back and pelvis in the incident, and Gwent Police have appealed for any potential witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We’re appealing for information after receiving a report of road traffic collision on the B4269 near Abergavenny, between Llanellen and Llanfoist, at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, March 10."
They added: "The collision involved three vehicles – a silver Ford Transit van, a black Fiat Punto and a grey Jaguar X-type.
"A 31-year-old man from the Pontypool area was taken to the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff after sustaining injuries to his lower back and pelvis.
"He is currently receiving treatment and his injuries are thought to be life changing.
"Officers from the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and the South Wales Ambulance Service have also in attended.
