Man, 30s, tragically dies after falling from building at office park in Santry, Co Dublin

A man has tragically died after falling from a building he was working on in Dublin.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at St John's Court office park in Santry at around 11am on Wednesday.

The worker, in his 30s, was taken to the Mater Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority have launched an investigation into the tragic incident.

A spokesman said: "It is understood that a man in his 30s fell from a building he was working on.

"He was taken to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

"A file will be prepared for the Coroners Office."

A HSA spokeswoman told the Irish Mirror: "I can confirm that a serious incident involving a worker in a fall from a height on a site today in north Dublin.

"The incident in Santry on December 18th  was reported to the HSA at 12.15pm, and the victim was taken to the Mater hospital where he has since passed away.

"Inspectors attended the scene and the HSA is carrying out an investigation into the fatal incident."
