A man has tragically died after he was struck by a van while walking in Co Tipperary.
The victim, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision which happened at around 3am on Tuesday.
Emergency services attended the crash which happened on the N62 in the Coolkennedy area of Thurles.
The man's body was removed to University Hospital Limerick where a postmortem is due to be carried out.
The driver of the van was uninjured. Gardai have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the collision, which occurred on the N62 between Horse and Jockey and Thurles.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Thurles Garda Station on 0504 25100 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111. The road has since reopened."
