Man, 30s, seriously injured in early-morning car crash in Inishowen, Co Donegal

A man has been seriously injured in a single-vehicle road crash in Co Donegal overnight.

The collision occurred in Inishowen on the main Muff and Quigley's Point road in the early hours of Monday morning.

Gardai have closed the road and it is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day.

A full investigation into the cause of the crash has begun.

Local diversions are in place.

A garda spokesperson told The Irish Daily Mirror: "Gardaí in Muff are at scene of a single vehicle serious RTC at Three Trees, Quigley's Point, Donegal which occurred at approximately 4am this morning Monday 3rd February, 2020.

"A male driver (mid 30s) is seriously injured. Investigations ongoing, road currently closed, local diversions in place and Gardaí still at scene."
