A man was rushed to hospital after being rescued from the River Fergus on Wednesday evening.
The incident happened at around 6.30pm yesterday in Ennis, Co Clare.
The man, who was in his 30s, got into difficulty in the water.
Emergency services were called to the scene and managed to pull the man to safety.

He was then brought to University Hospital Limerick.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí attended the scene of an incident which occurred in the River Fergus in Ennis, Co. Clare yesterday evening, Wednesday 22nd July 2020 at 6.30pm.
"A male, aged in his 30s, got into difficulty while in the water.
"Emergency services attended the scene and the man was assisted from the water. He was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital."
