Man, 30s, injured after shooting incident with 'pellet gun' in Tallaght, Dublin

A man has been injured following a shooting incident involving a pellet gun in Dublin.

Gardai rushed to the scene at around 6.20pm on Sunday after reports of a house being shot at.

Officers discovered a victim, in his 30s, had received apparent "pellet wounds" to his legs.

He was transferred from the scene at Mac Uilliam Estate, Fortunestown Lane to Tallaght Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

A spokesman said: "A man in his 30s has been injured following a shooting incident in Tallaght.

"At approximately 6.20pm Gardaí were called to the scene of an incident at Mac Uilliam Estate, Fortunestown Lane, following reports of shots fired at a house.

"On arrival, Gardaí discovered a man in his 30s with apparent pellet wounds to his legs. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

"No arrests have been made to date and enquiries are ongoing."
