A man in his late 30s has been charged after Gardai found €45,000 of Diamorphine and other drugs paraphernalia during a house search in North Dublin.

Gardai carried out a warrant at a house in Dublin 15 on Tuesday night where they made the discovery.

One man was arrested and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station following the search.

He was then charged in relation to the seizure and appeared before the Criminal Court of Justice on Wednesday evening.

A spokesman for the Gardai said that "investigations are ongoing".
